Nino Ciotola
Physiotherapy Resident
Nino completed his Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology and Health Sciences at York University in 2021. Following graduation, he worked for two years as a Physiotherapy Assistant, supporting individuals with neurological conditions and orthopedic injuries. He then pursued a Masters of Physiotherapy degree at McMaster University, where he developed a strong appreciation for applying an evidence-based approach in helping individuals achieve their rehabilitative goals. During his graduate training, Nino participated in a variety of extra-curricular clinical roles, including working as an inpatient physiotherapy extern in orthopedic surgery, providing outpatient care to individuals with neurological conditions, delivering virtual self-management education sessions to patients with cancer diagnoses, and contributing to the development of a community exercise program for individuals’ post-stroke. Nino’s wide range of interests include orthopedics, neurological care, return to sport, vestibular and amputation rehabilitation. Nino is currently studying to obtain his certification in acupuncture.
Nino is a passionate sports fan and enjoys watching soccer, hockey and baseball in his spare time. He also spends his spare time playing soccer with friends and playing fetch with his dog. He looks forward to the day where everyone can celebrate the Leaf’s winning the Stanley Cup!
