Matthew Andrews

Physiotherapist, Bobath Certified Therapist

Matthew completed a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Toronto after earning a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Dalhousie University. Matthew's professional focus includes neurological physical therapy and complex orthopedic conditions.

Prior to Bergin Motion, Matthew spent the past two years as a physiotherapist on the Stroke and Neurology Inpatient Unit at Unity Health Toronto (St. Michael’s Hospital, Providence Healthcare). There, he was recognized with the Health Disciplines Emerging Leaders Fellowship for his leadership in developing an innovative in-home stroke rehabilitation program. Matthew was also awarded the University Health Network Book prize during his studies at the University of Toronto, which recognizes excellence in clinical and academic work in neuroscience.

He has dedicated additional hours to credentialing in the Bobath Concept for adult neurological rehabilitation and has pursued coursework in complex/chronic pain conditions, enriching his practice with diverse therapeutic perspectives.

Outside of work, Matthew enjoys hiking, biking, and traveling, and you might occasionally see his Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever, Finn, around the clinic. With a passion for personalized care, Matthew approaches physical therapy with creativity, aiming to develop meaningful movement strategies tailored to each client.
