Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy is our specialty
Our pelvic floor muscles are responsible for many essential functions of the body. Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy is a speciality form of Physiotherapy that addresses pre/postnatal concerns, incontinence, prolapse, pelvic pain and lower back pain. At Bergin Motion, our Pelvic Floor Physiotherapist aims to solve any muscular imbalance and strengthen the muscles of the pelvic floor and surrounding areas. Many people think that “Kegel” exercises are the solution, when in reality, the exercises may be being done in the wrong way. Don’t let your condition worsen; it’s time to change pain and discomfort for confidence and a return to living a full and active life.

“I’ve received treatment for neck, shoulder, and calf pain from both Alex and Katja. They’re very skilled at what they do! Both were able to identify and diagnose my issues and are amazing in finding your comfort level as they treat you. I’ve always left their care in better shape, and been sent away with exercises to effectively continue the healing process back home.

Meet our Pelvic Floor Physiotherapist
Katja’s passion for Physiotherapy started as a young athlete competing competitively in Soccer and Track and Field. During her time as an athlete, Katja suffered many sports-related injuries which required periods of rehabilitation and Physiotherapy. She developed a strong passion and interest in the human body during this time. Katja graduated from the University of Toronto in 2013 with a Bachelors of Kinesiology before deciding to pursue a Masters of Physiotherapy from Oxford Brookes University where she graduated in 2016. After completing Physiotherapy school, Katja completed a specialization in Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy. Along with pelvic floor physiotherapy, Katja also works with clients who suffer from orthopaedic/sport injuries and neurological injuries/conditions.
In her spare time, Katja loves to keep active by hiking, doing yoga, going to the gym and walking her dog! She also loves to binge the latest Netflix series while cooking her favourite food.
